Kaohsiung’s metro system — officially the KMRT — has completed a six-month upgrade to turnstiles allowing passengers to now use any of the major stored-value cards to “beep” their way through the southern Taiwan city’s 38 metro stops.

Taipei’s EasyCard is now welcome alongside Kaohsiung’s iPass, while the commercial cards known as the iCash and HappyCash cards are also accepted by the KMRT.

The news came in early July 2016, on the same day Taipei announced it has now rolled out total acceptance of Kaohsiung’s iPass card for the Taipei MRT.

Taiwan just keeps getting more convenient!
